30 minute flight by light aircraft from Mahé, ecotourism best describes this lodge, facilities and conservation work of the 170-acre private island. Bird Island comprises 24 beachfront chalets overlooking the gardens of an old coconut plantation to the sea beyond. A magical experience and a true retreat from today's busy world. Each has king-sized bed, large shower room, separate toilet, lounge corner, hairdryer, room safe, room fan (no aircon), open-air/outdoor shower and patio overlooking the gardens to the sea beyond.
